The nursery have adjusted to the new term routine of early mornings and busy days. It’s lovely to see their friendships develop. We have spent time this week reviewing our class rules based on the Springmead Way of Share and Listen. These ways of being, we hope, will embed themselves into the children’s vocabulary and attitudes. In class we have looked at space and owls, all part of our Night and Day theme. We have also enjoyed the rabbits coming into nursery. We watched, stroked, talked, read stories and painted pictures about rabbits. An immersive experience. During the day, children would go quietly to sit by the cage and watch them, talking to them quietly. It was very sweet. We are encouraging children to go into their gardens at home to look at the night sky to see what they can see in the night sky.
