An exciting week in the swimming pool saw Springmead School play host to St Louis, North Bradley, Warminster Prep and Minster schools in the annual Springmead Invitation Gala at Frome pool. Over 70 swimmers competed from the schools in 25m races in Butterfly, Backstroke, Breastroke and Frontcrawl to a very high standard.
Swimming is a techinically difficult and physically demanding sport and it is wonderful to see so many local schools giving swimming the priority that it deserves. Results: North Bradley 40 points; Warminster Prep 52 points; Springmead B 74 points; St Louis 88 Points; Minster Primary 104 Points; Springmead A 123 points.
