“On a hot June morning, our Final sizzled with a wonderful display of confidence and ability from all the Finalists”.

  • Bravely starting the show, The Three Belles – Annabelle Cox, Arabella Goff and Taylor Milsom – impressed us all with their imaginative ballet-based routine.

  • Evie Jackson and the Collingwood siblings Lydia and Ethan entertained with a well-rehearsed ensemble (keyboard, recorder, tambourine) playing of Puff the Magic Dragon.

  • Elena Sidman has shown us a talent to be watched in future years with her beautiful voice singing, a pitch-perfect, unaccompanied rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow demonstrating great breath control.

  • Eva Perkins and Jemima Baughan thoroughly enjoyed presenting their enchanting ballet interpretation of caterpillars becoming butterflies.

  • The Pows – twins Russell and Harrison Pow-Jones – thoroughly entertained us and showed great rapport in their fun version of Les Poissons.

  • Frances Arnold gave a bravura solo performance of If They Could See Me Now, showing all round ability in her dramatic interpretation, singing and a great American accent!

  • With their fantastic costumes and funky Michael Jackson inspired routine, The Thrills – Cameron Wight, Fraser Humphrey and Anthony Perkins – were a real hit with the audience as they danced to Thriller.

  • James Welbourn looked great on stage as he gave us a super, confident and accomplished vocal performance of Fame – another crowd pleaser!

  • Tom Taylor got plenty of laughs for his highly original comedy monologue as he demonstrated great stage presence and comic timing, super vocal flexibility and acting talent too!

  • Astrid Bishop’s vocal maturity, ability to hold the audience and ease at being on stage made her version of Bjork’s Sssh! a real pleasure to watch.

  • The Polka Dots – Sarah Clayton and Kathryn Offer – were a fabulous all round package; lovely singing, super costumes and presentation, and great comic acting in their fun, engaging re-working of Supercalifragilistic-expialidocious.

  • The Sketches – Jason Hughes, Jacob Humphrey, James Wallis, and Sam Quick – impressed with their witty well-constructed sketch packed with clever scripting and lyric writing, super acting skills and staging.

Using a newly introduced scoring system, the judges decided on a winner and three runners up who will all perform again at the Leavers’ Assembly (Parents of these children are welcome to come along).” Sara Swan-Capper.

Again, thank you to everyone who was involved in making the talent show a very positive experience: members of the school council, participants, audience, staff and parents! A special thanks goes to Sara Swan-Capper and Katie Ellis who have supported the children throughout the journey!
